I was a groupie for Halloween..but the real stars of the show were Joseph and Eric (of the Frats from our season of The Amazing Race, season 9 and The Amazing Race, AllStars). They were not Brett Micheals and Tommy Lee, like many people thought...oh no, they were their own rock 80's Hair Band, like no other.
The jock straps were the absolute highlight of the costumes. We bedazzelled them with iron on guitars and crosses and then tye died them with spray paint. Joseph wore my Patrick Swayze t shirt and that shirt is tight on ME, much less my husband! Their pants were women's "liquid leggings" from Hot Topic. I never thought I would hear my husband say, "Are these pants tight enough on my butt?" ..that was a new low, or high..not sure which!
As soon as Eric and Joseph got into costume, they entered the world of hair nation and rock and roll. They played the part ALL NIGHT, and they were lovin' it! Me..sometimes, not so much....
We had the time of our lives, two nights in a row, started out in the Fort and then onto Fayetteville.
Needless to say, Joseph has some serious battle wounds...the rockstar has turned into a big baby. He ripped his leggings when he did a power slide across the stage and has the biggest scrap I have ever seen. Poor thang!
