New Product / Skincare: NARÜKO 愛慕可 by 牛爾

NARÜKO (愛慕可) is the latest brainchild of Taiwanese top skincare guru, 牛爾老師. Fans of the top Taiwanese beauty show, 女人我最大 should not find him unfamiliar. He's the authority beauty advisor for the show and previously had several of his own skincare lines sold under PayEasy.

According to the brand site, the main motivation for 牛爾老師 is to come up with skincare that is both good for the skin and wallet. So, after much research and preparation, this new skincare brand was conceived.

Currently, there is only one line of product which is the Narcissus. This line is suitable for all skin types and focus on preventative and repair care. But knowing 牛爾老師, I believe we'll see more lines and formulas being released under this brand.

On the first look, the main attraction would be 牛爾老師, being so famous and well-known in the Taiwanese beauty industry. In addition, the formulas are a result of his expertise and collaboration with a Japanese lab.

On top of that, I like the clean image whereby the products are free of parabens and preservatives. And they put in effort to use organic certified ingredients. But wait, the best thing is that, the packaging of NARÜKO is so well designed that it can actually be reused for other purposes instead of being chucked into the bin.

Online selling starts tomorrow but I've a feeling they dont ship to Singapore.. Nevertheless, this is a brand that is worthed taking a look into..

folded verse

See the actual Folded Verse T-shirts...and at least 400 more works at Pameran Poskad 2010!

The Chinese text "所羅門的衣,不如百合花" is our Chinese couplet for Jesus' teaching to not worry - "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these" (Matthew, 6:28-29). We made 2 or 3 folds on the tee before each character was painted. Read more here.

The show's on at "My Art Space" (Level 4, 21 Tanjong Pagar Road, beside the Maxwell Rd Food Centre) from 18 April to 1 May. There's an opening party on 17 April, 6-9pm; and a preview for eager beavers (well, they can try to spot those works by the established artists) on the same day at 3pm.

p/s - Drop us a note at info@ampulets.com if you are interested in any of the 10 tees. They are soft 100% cotton. The 所,羅,門,的,衣 and 不 are on Muji Men L-sized T-shirts chest 38-40". The 如,百,合 and 花 are on TopShop XXSmall-sized T-shirts, chest 32-34" for women or very very skinny boys. Each tee comes packed with its own postcard-sized image.

truth or dare

insane/love (狂/愛)

I've shortlisted only 3 films from this year's Singapore Film Festival. A record low! The truth is, without a physical programme booklet and the website's tedious navigation, I gave up after two rounds of reviewing the programme online. But I guess my cautious approach is entirely in line with this year's rather flat (*yawn*) programming:
- Yan Lei (Tears), directed by Cheng Wen-Tang
- Dear Doctor, directed by Miwa Nishikawa
- Jao Nok Krajok (Mundane History), directed by Anocha Suwichakornpong

Friends, may you possess more daring in clicking on the "Buy Tix" button.

lyrics to a high school

i was combing through my com when i found a particular file

i knew what it was.. and decided to share its contents here again to prevent it from disappearing down history lane.

我的高校

拜:高校行动

每一次我感到彷徨
我就会去高校一趟
我知道初级学院的食堂
有很多难吃的食摊
我吃过鸡饭就很反感
Pad thai

Candy酿豆腐人龙很长
勇气鸡不健康
豆花吃太多会娘娘腔
不如走高校一趟

再唱 *

不要再去
那个地方

绝不回头
绝不失望

so anyway, when the time comes for us to return once more, will you sing this song?

Earth Hour - Chile

True Russian way.

Rusky Panyanyusky!

Guess who's back! "...Let's get this party started right/Let's get drunk and freaky fly/We gonna stay up the whole night." says the song. As do we. Vodka party (with the support of our friends from Smirnoff) THIS FRIDAY. YOU DRINK THE VODKA...or all the VODKA YOU can DRINK, unlimited amount, all night. Partystarter, firestarter, the DJ of your favourite night is nobody else than the already veteran DJ Bela. So get ready to get funk'd. The entry fee...amazingly 25 ron. And although on the flyer says after 24:00 it will be 21 (he was thinking about the vodka and the party, apologies accepted :P), actually it will be a little bit more...like 60 ron. So, 25 ron before midnight, 60 after. So, make sure you won't be late. CHEERS!
